How does one get into the animation field?
I want to be able to create my own cartoons eventually. I love the unique worlds such as Cowboy Bebop, or Aeon Flux… and I want to know how to get a job like that.
I graduated from art college several years ago. AAC in the bayarea. If you don’t know anyone who’s in animation field, you can try to present your idea and art work to the teachers in art school. Most of teachers in my school are not professional educator but professional artist. Such as most teachers who is teaching animation may from the big film company. Some of them fly from LA to give us class everyweek.
I thought you may start from their if you go some good stuff. But if you really got some great stuff, be careful with who you deal with. We had sign the contract that all our works belong to school when we were. I have known there some teachers keep student’s idea become their own…

Lookout, The (2007)

Plot: An admired high school hockey player (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) with a bright future foolishly takes a drive in the night with his girl friend and two other friends with his headlights off with devastating results. The former athlete is left with a brain injury that prevents him from remembering many things for extended periods of time. To compensate, he keeps notes in a small notebook to aid him in remembering what he is to do. He also lives with a blind friend (Jeff Daniels) who aids him. Obviously, with the mental incapacitation, he is unable to have meaningful work. Thus he works as a night cleaning man in a bank. It is there he comes under the scrutiny of a gang planning to rob the bank. The leader (Matthew Goode) befriends him and gets him involved with a young woman (Isla Fisher) who further reels him in. After they get close and after reeling him in with his own failures, the bank plan unfolds. Confused but wanting to escape his current existence, he initially goes along with the scheme. After realizing he is being used, he attempts to stop the robbery, which of course immediately goes awry. Bruce McGill and Alberta Watson also co-star as the young man’s parents, who still search for the person that was there before the tragic crash.

AVI Files are now AVI documents?
I was on my computer today, listening to internet radio and downloading a movie(video clip, AVI) from Megaupload. When it was done downloading, my computer slowed for three seconds. I noticed that all my AVI files are now AVI documents. I can still play them, but my computer sees them as AVI documents, not as a AVI video clip. I also tried to download a t.v. episode, and my computer says I’m dowloading an AVI document, not a video clip. How did this happen? Should I be on the lookout for a problem like a trojan? Thanks in advance for any help.

TTC, did not work this month, how to keep spirits positive?
We’ve been TTC , and are yet to fall pregnant. After days of thinking I was feeling pregnancy symptoms, I got AF today, and feel absolutely shattered.
Can someone help me find a silver lining, or a brighter side to this?
Not only did AF come today, but she came with a fiery vengeance, as if my body is saying "Haha, you aren’t pregnant, AND I’m going to give you killer cramps for the next 5 days", so it feels like a major smack in the face, and I’m not sure I want to keep TTC when my moods keep stooping this low month after month.
Any ideas to cheer up? Stories? Etc.
Think of it this way, it won’t be much longer until you ovulate again! Keep hope!

The first thing I always say to people in your boat is OPK’s!!! (ovulation predictor kits). They’re as good as having a sign stamped to your forehead saying "have sex today (and tomorrow, and the next day, just to be sure)"! A coworker told me she got pregnant on her first try using them, and I had already been trying for 7 months charting my cervical mucus each month. I also had very irregular periods, so I bought 50 on ebay and figured I’d just test every day until it said I was ovulating. Well, I happened to ovulate 3 days after they arrived, and it worked:) I now have a beautiful 4 month old baby boy and 47 unused ovulation strips:) I know how frustrating and depressing it can be to get your period each month, but it’ll happen. i have this idea for a story, but i want to know if it sounds good first, also i was wondering what actresses and actors could fit into the parts.
the story is about a very rich russian family that moves to England in the 1770’s. Anastasia and tatiana and the twins of the family. they have high cheek bones, olive skin and hazel or light brown eyes. they are 14 or fifteen. tatiana falls in love with an english boy and they run away together. the family is distraught, but soon news sends of a marriage of the two of them. the russian family takes him in though. two weeks later, the english boy, nathaniel, is found murdered. tatiana disappears from "mid-air" and it is Anastasia’s mission to find her.
Anastasia: around the age of 14/15 dark blonde hair, olive skin, high cheek bones, and brown of hazel eyes. the same applies for tatiana.
daddy: dark hair, heavy build, around 40
mother: dark blonde hair, dark eyes, around mid thirties

To best understand Shakespeare, try reading it slower and out loud. It’s tempting to just plow through and get your assigned pages over with, but reading Shakespeare too fast and silently makes all the antiquated language blur together and become incomprehensible.

Why are Republicans unwilling to stand up to the substandard government school system?
The government school system in this country is notoriously inept at virtually everything, except for indoctrinating the youth into liberalism. Government schools are notorious for adopting ineffective educational methods for ideological reasons. For generations, the schools have used the whole-word method to teach reading, even though it is proven to be inferior to the phonics system. For generations, the schools have invented new ways to teach math to reduce the ability of kids to learn math. The schools have abandoned even the pretense of teaching kids how to spell, which is why so many people on the Internet have trouble spelling even the most basic words. The government schools have encouraged an anti-intellectualism, which is frequently seen online whenever somebody refuses to read something because it is "too long" or "too difficult" to read and yet still sees the need to make a comment about something they haven’t read.
However, the schools have been successful in attaining their goal of "teaching for social justice." The typical high school graduate has learned numerous leftist lies about history. He "knows" that capitalism lead to monopolies, that capitalism caused the Great Depression, that the Industrial Revolution was evil, that National Socialism was a "right-wing" ideology, and all the other leftist lies about history that we are all familiar with. The typical high school graduate has been indoctrinated in the Environmentalist faith and believes that evil corporations are harming the planet. The typical high school graduate has been taught and absorbed values that fundamentally contradict the traditional religious values held by the majority of Americans. The heavy youth vote for Barack Obama in 2008 was primarily a result of leftist indoctrination in government school and in our nation’s leftist universities (although the failure of the centrist policies of Bush and McCain deserves alot of the blame as well).
I am puzzled by the failure of Republicans to stand up to the government school monopoly. A substantial portion of the public recognizes the failure of government schools and wants to pull their kids out, but is unable to do so because they cannot afford to pay for education twice. The government in many states restricts homeschooling (even though all evidence seems to indicate that homeschooling is usually the best option and there is no remotely respectable argument against homeschooling) and heavily regulates private schools.
When will Republicans realize that they need to deal with the left’s government school system if they are to be a majority party in this country? When will Republicans stand up for the freedom of parents to choose a quality school for their children? The Republicans do not necessarily have to call for total separation of government and education, as a voucher system might be able to stop the government schools, provided that liberal activist judges aren’t allowed to interfere with the autonomy of the private schools that accept vouchers. Are Republicans aware that the issue of school choice has the potential to be very popular even among people who aren’t traditional Republican voters (for example, many people in the Democrat-dominated inner cities would certainly like to rescue their children from the inner city government schools)? The liberals who control the government schools will make alot of noise if their system were threatened, but a silent majority of Americans would be grateful to see their children freed from a substandard education system.
That’s why I learned more in school than anywhere else right?

If vouchers are available, get ready for higher tuition at private schools. That is the promise by private schools I have talked with. They would raise tuition by the amount of the voucher. They do not want people in that would "taint" their populations or records.

Because of the lack of political and parental involvement in the past 40 years, the liberal socialist have control of it and it will take another 30 years to claim it back.
It is everybody’s fault. I remember back in the 60s when the first order of business was you can’t not fail a student more than twice and even then it could only be one year every three.
And the parents did nothing. The teachers were just happy to get the troublesome kids out of their classes.
