Police Academy (1984) IMDB rating: 6.00 Plot: New rules enforced by the Lady Mayoress mean that sex, weight, height and intelligence need no longer be a factor for joining the Police Force. This opens the floodgates for all and sundry to enter the Police Academy, much to the chagrin of the instructors. Not everyone is there through choice, though. Social misfit Mahoney has been forced to sign up as the only alternative to a jail sentence and it doesn’t take long before he falls foul of the boorish Lieutenant Harris. But before long, Mahoney realises that he is enjoying being a police cadet and decides he wants to stay… while Harris decides he wants Mahoney out!

southern california police officer questions?
if i know a cop and they put a referral in for me will that help my chances… and how many people apply to the academy opposed to how many actually get in…. and what do you think my chances of getting in are my im 19 years old still have 2 years to go

1.i have a ged
2.im getting a 2 year degree in criminal justice
3.doing ride alongs
4.can run 1.5 miles in 10 mins
5.can do 100+ sit up and push ups
6.can do alot of pullups
7.i practice parkour free runnig which means i can jump over thing easy i guess for the wall
8.only done weed once when i was 17
9.never been convicted of anything only have 2 speeding tickets on my record from when i was 17
10.my height and Weight 5′7 —230lb pretty much all muscle no gut 6 pack
11.pretty well on computers
12.took a few mixed martial arts classes

1.never shot a gun
2.do bad in interviews

please tell me what my chances are on getting in please no bad stuff like why i wanna become a cop i have my reasons if you hate cops then that’s you don’t tell me cause i can careless why you hate them and please no saying stuff if you like to beat people up and eat donuts your in cause that’s just stupid to say thank you to all that comment

3. About the bad interview maybe ask a criminal justice teacher to help you with that.
Some of them are most like to be former cops.

Hi.

Your chances of becoming a police officer are not bad. I’m pretty sure you’ll have no problem passing the physical part of the exam, as they require (to graduate the academy) for you to run 1.5 miles in 14 minutes.. you should graduate with flying colors. I know a class at the academy that started at 70 and ended with 50.. most classes lost about 20-40 students at a time due to their failure in part of academics, so STUDY, STUDY, STUDY!!!! Getting a BA degree will make you shine against the other candidates, but the only thing that would hold against you is that you have smoked weed.. Depending on the department, they will not let you apply until 5 or 10 years from the date that you first smoked. Don’t worry if you never shot a gun, they will teach you in the academy. Interviews you can always take time to work on it.
